Experience a wide array of Yoga, Tai Chi & STOTT PILATES® disciplines in the comfort of our state-of-the-art Mind Body studio.  A Mind & Body class punch card is available for non-members to try out our classes.

Available Yoga Classes

    Amrit Yoga - All Levels

    This class combines yoga postures and meditation. Students will practice a posture sequence that was developed to create inner focus, energy and relaxation. If needed, postures will be introduced briefly so that all students will be able to participate and work at their own level. Assistance with postures will be available to students who need it. Note: Amrit Yoga is an extension of Kripalu Yoga. Both were developed by Yogi Amrit Desai. The focus in this practice is on combining postures and meditative awareness.

    Anusara Inspired Hatha Yoga

    Anusara Yoga is a modern Hatha Yoga system, unifying Universal Principles of Alignment with the foundation of Anusara, the three As - Attitude, Alignment, Action. We use Action to express Attitude, through the Alignment of the body. Aligned, the Action is strong and balanced, and the Attitude is spiritually pure and powerful. Anusara is a Sanskrit word that means to be in the flow. Anusara Inspired Hatha Yoga Classes are for all levels.

  • Beginner's Series - Yoga Foundations

    Feel like you need some of the fundamentals before going to a yoga class? This four-week series will introduce the foundations of yoga postures in a friendly and approachable workshop environment. Each week will feature a different anatomical focus supported by a select group of postures. Weekly highlights include correct body positioning for safety in poses such as sun salutations, standing poses to improve balance, arm strengthening poses, and abs/core work. 

  • Gentle Hatha Yoga - All Levels

    In this blend of traditions we will build strength and flexibility gradually, avoiding injury. Linking gentle movement to the breath activates the "Healer Within". Bring comfort to daily life by inviting ancient postures, gentle stretches, breathing techniques, guided meditation and relaxation to calm the mind and open the body. Safe and supportive for all levels.

    Gentle Yoga & Meditation for Beginners

    Release tension, renew energy, and feel the joy of a relaxed body and peaceful mind as you enjoy the many benefits of yoga and meditation. You will lower your blood pressure, and stress levels, clear your mind, balance emotions and enhance immune function to name a few. In this class you will learn to practice gentle yoga postures with focused breathing and simple meditation techniques to enhance and support your healthy lifestyle. Seated and standing postures will be taught and chairs will be provided for meditation.

    Hatha Yoga Strength & Flexibility

    Hatha Yoga incorporates the physical practice of the eight limbs of yoga. In this hour-long class you will work on many postures which help to increase flexibility, strength of muscles, and the release of tension. These postures, together with sun salutations, will be built into a flowing class to help with balance and deeper breathing. What a wonderful way to energize your body for the rest of the day!

    Kripalu Yoga for Emotional Balance

    If you are looking for a holistic approach to healing depression and anxiety Kripalu Yoga for Emotional Balance will restore your energy, balance emotions, and give you the tools you need to transform your life. This class has enabled many students develop positive strategies to handle work related stress, relationship problems and self esteem issues. Opening to emotions - and becoming comfortable in your body - will promote self-acceptance and develop intuitive wisdom. Yoga postures strengthen the body and release tension, breathing practices replenish energy and promote peace of mind, and meditation techniques provide daily tools for managing negative thought patterns. This class is on- going and open to all including beginners.

    Kriya Yoga

    Is a system of exercises that address three prime areas of physical fitness, strength, flexibility and alignment. It is an opportunity to reach higher states of consciousness and change your life, gaining all around development of body, mind, and soul. This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness, beginners are welcome.

    Pathways Yoga

    This is an ongoing yoga class that incorporates the western emphasis on physical training with the traditional techniques of yoga science.

    Qi Gong & Tai Chi

    This class follows an ancient form of Chinese exercise used to maintain health. QI GONG utilizes long deep breaths and safe, gentle movement that uses the mind with intention.
    This is an ongoing class with no sign up required.

    Stott Pilates Mat Class - Essential

    If you have little or no experience with Stott Pilates classes, this is the one for you.  Learn the 5 Basic Principles of dynamic alignment in depth every 1st Wednesday of the month. Then apply your knowledge at a faster paced class leading you through the Essential Mat repertoire for the remainder of the weeks that month.  Improve your posture and core stability.  Increase overall strength, flexibility, and endurance, while restoring the natural curves of the spine and giving your body a full workout.

    Stott Pilates Mat Class - Intermediate

    Intermediate Pilates takes it to the next level after learning the basics in the Essential level class. This class utilized props which challenge your core stability, flexibility & balance, and is based on more complex exercises.

    Ashtanga

    Ashtanga Yoga is a challenging and flowing form of Hatha Yoga, which brings the body, mind and spirit into perfect alignment and function.  The Ashtanga practice utilizes deep breathing (ujjayi), concentrated eye gaze (drishti), and energetic locks (bandas) for a dynamic and detoxifying yoga practice.  (A great form of yoga for athletes!).

    Youth Yoga

    This class is for those 7-13 years old. Youth Yoga will have a powerful effect on the physical, mental and emotional development of your child. In addition to gaining strength and flexibility, the exercises and postures are particularly useful for reducing stress and teaching skills to calm and center your child.

    Yoga For A Healthy Spine

    In this Gentle Yoga Class, we will build a practice to stretch, strengthen and stabilize the spine that will support daily activities to maximize your overall ability to function.  Discover why alignment is important to spine health.  Become aware of habitual patterns that may trigger pain or injury.  Open and strengthen all major supporting joints for better joint health, mobility and comfort while releasing stress and tension that can cause holding and discomfort in the body.  Conscious breathing and gentle movement develop body awareness and assist in managing stress, fear and chronic pain that are often associated with back pain.

    Yoga Core Basics

    Proper alignment, breath awareness and core stability promote safety in yoga practice. In this class for all level students, including beginners, we will focus on developing core strength and inner body awareness during Kripalu posture flow to establish a strong foundation for the practice of yoga. Class will include yoga wisdom teachings, guided meditation, and deep relaxation for energy balance and renewal.

  • Back School for Physical Therapy Patients

    This is a program put on by Exeter Athleticare, Exeter Hospitals out patient rehabilitation program.

    Cancer WellFit Yoga

    This is a 10-week yoga class offered through Exeter Hospitals Cancer Wellness Program. The emphasis is on gentle movement to reduce muscle tension and breathing and simple meditation techniques to reduce stress and anxiety. Medical clearance is required.     45 Cycle/45 Yoga Combo

    Not enough time to do everything?... Our new 45 CYCLE - 45 YOGA is for you! We begin with a 45 minute CYCLE class which will focus on a strong cardio-workout at your own comfort level. Right afterwards, you can work on your strength and flexibility in a 45 minute HATHA YOGA class to help get you on the road to a more balanced lifestyle... Still not enough time? Try just one or the other! Come to either part of the class.

    Senior Seated Yoga

    Experience health benefits from the Chair. This gentle class will be primarily seated for those who have difficulty coming to the floor. Through this gentle practice of joint openers, stretches, breath awareness and guided relaxation within a group you will receive benefits including: Increase in mental focus. Comfort for joints and improved range of motion. Improved balance, strength and flexiblity. Improved mood. Improved circulation, respiration, digestion, and immune system. If you can breathe this is the class for you!

    Motherwell Yoga

    This is a unique combination of yoga, breathing, and relaxation exercises. This class is designed to help expectant moms prepare mind, body and spirit for a healthy pregnancy and a positive birth experience.  This is part of a two class per week program (one yoga and one in the pool).

    Therapeutic Classical Yoga

    The human body is an integrated network. Together, patterns of behavior, thought, emotion and movement determine, in large measure, one’s overall health. Any one cannot be addressed alone. This class supports students in a deeper discovery of how they move, how they think and what they feel. Beginning with a thematic discussion, students explore traditional yoga postures and therapeutic movement from a physical and mental perspective, with the intention of optimizing health of body and mind. Class ends with an extended relaxation and brief meditation. Practitioners of all levels are welcome.

    Yoga for Stress Management Support

    Each week in Stress Management Support we will begin with breath awareness and breathing techniques, followed by 45 minutes of stretches and gentle movement synchronized with breath to create meditation in motion. This will help to release areas of chronic holding that include the jaw, neck, shoulders, hips, abdomen, back and hamstrings. Movement will be primarily seated and on the back with support of props as needed. Each class will end with a 15-minute relaxation. Benefits of SMS may include: a relaxed and open body, a calm and clear mind, deeper body awareness, added support for circulation, respiration, immune system, digestive health, hypertension, and reduction of chronic pain.
